Obituary

William L. "Bill" Marlowe, age 93, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born on April 9, 1931, in Fordsville, Kentucky, to Sam and Catherine (Rice) Marlowe, second of eleven children.

William is survived by his loving wife, Vicki (Koehler) Marlowe; son, Mike (Ellen) Marlowe; two sisters, Mary Katherine (Ken) Barker, Linda Cox; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patty Crosby; and all of his other brothers and sisters.

William was a United States Navy veteran and retired from CSXT following 41 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking projects and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm and a funeral ceremony will start at 12:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368, with Pastor Joshua Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN.
