Obituary

Margarita Ramos De Perez, age 88, of Puerto Rico, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. She was born in Puerto Rico on April 9, 1929 to the late Castulo Ramos and Cruz Rodriguez. She loved music, dancing, singing, fishing, cooking, and growing beautiful flowers. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed making everyone laugh.

Margarita is survived by sons, Francisco Perez, Luis Perez, Pedro (Maria) Perez, Benjamin (Zina) Perez, Efrain Perez, Wilfredo (Dina) Perez, Carlos (Nereida) Perez, Jose Perez; daughters, Nilda (Herminio “Sam”) Santana, Norma (Homer) Scott, Clara Perez; 46 grandchildren; 79 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Antonio Perez; grandson, Benjamin Santana; great grandsons, Daveon Perez, Anthony Mobley, Jr.; sisters, Maria Ramos, Herminia Ramos, Cecilia Ramos, Antonia Ramos; and her parents.

A funeral service for Margarita will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. Benjamin Santana officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will take place Monday, December 4, 2017 from 2-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. For more information, please call 219-762-3013.
