Obituary
Wendell Hulse, age 81, of South Haven, Indiana, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He was born on September 23, 1943, in Kennett, Missouri, to Clarence and Jennie (Scott) Hulse.
Wendell is survived by his two sons, Roy Hulse, Wendell (Cara) Hulse; two granddaughters, Megan Hulse, Peyton (Erick Bakker) Hulse; grandson, Zachary (Noell) Hulse; great-granddaughter, Violet Bakker; three sisters in law, Joan Hulse, Berthanne Hulse, Linda Chapman; brother in law, Ron Chapman; nephew, Ron (Jennifer) Chapman Jr.; niece, Lisa Chapman; Max, Ava, and Rudy, his dogs.
He was preceded in death by parents; his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara (Bidleman) Hulse; two brothers, Herman Hulse, Dean Hulse; three sisters, Barbara Sorg, Wilma Ungerank, and Joyce Hulse.
Wendell was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan and loved pitching horseshoes. He loved rebuilding his 1953 Ford pick-up truck and was proud when he could finally drive it in 2022. Wendell loved his family and will be missed.
Funeral Ceremony will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
